Usually Nordictrack starts the week before Black Friday with special discounts on their top elliptical models.
However this year – they’re starting sales really early:
According to my sources at Nordictrack, they’ll be starting certain Black Friday sales this year on November 1st!
That doesn’t mean they’ll have the same elliptical machines on sale the whole time. They’ll be focusing on a couple of models one week, then another couple of models the next week, etc
It also depends on how certain models sell and how many are left in stock etc. They may even be offering special bundling deals, depending on stock.

Why Are They Starting Early This Year?
While I can’t say this with absolute certainty – my suspicion is that it’s due to the events of the past two years.
The disruption to global supply chains, hard to get parts and the continuing rising inflation have all caused significant problems. They’ve disrupted both the manufacturing and shipping options of many fitness equipment companies.
Costs have risen with inflation – and shipping companies are also swamped.
So this is most likely Nordictracks way of trying to keep on top of Black Friday sales – ensuring and monitoring that they have enough stock to meet customer needs.

What Exactly is Black Friday Anyways?
Black Friday is traditionally the Friday immediately after American Thanksgiving.
It’s called that because it’s traditionally seen as the busiest shopping day of the year. Due to the sales made on this day, they can actually put retail stores and companies back “in the black” – even if they’ve had a bad sales year.
Because of this, retailers started putting some of their best sales on this date – and shoppers quickly caught on.
Thus, Black Friday became really a holiday of shopping for deals. And – crazy mall stampedes aside – it can actually be quite fun to scoop up a deal.
While many people now know about Black Friday, not as many people know about Cyber Monday.
What’s that?
Cyber Monday popped up a few years ago and it’s know as the Monday following Black Friday.
This day was traditionally the largest ONLINE shopping day of the year. (Maybe people were so tired from shopping the malls on Black Friday they just went online to see any other deals they may have missed at the malls).
Over the past few years however, these 2 days have kind of melded together – with more and more people choosing to shop online on the Friday instead of braving the malls.
Because of this, online retailers will often some of their best sales on Black Friday and through the weekend to Cyber Monday. However, as stated above, this particular sales period is starting a bit earlier for Nordictrack this year.
