Looking fo the best Nordictrack elliptical for an apartment or condo?
You came to the right place.
When you’re elliptical shopping for your condo or apartment, you have different things to consider vs someone with a home basement, for example.
Usually in apartments you have two major issues: space and noise.
That leads us to the question I got the other day:
What’s the Best Nordictrack Elliptical for an Apartment?
This post will go over a couple of options to consider. Then, based on your personal situation, preferences, space, budget, etc – you can make a more informed decision for yourself.
Best Nordictrack Elliptical for Apartment
#1 Nordictrack Spacesaver SE9i Elliptical
This one is my personal favorite because it covers the two issues you have with an apartment – space and noise. (The next choice does as well – but in a different way).
Plus it adds a lot of fun into the mix.

What makes this a good elliptical for apartments?
It folds up!
You can fold this elliptical up and it has wheels on the bottom for easier movement. So you can use it, fold it up and roll it out of the way when you want to use the space as something else.

Plus, the resistance on this is silent magetic resistance. And while there are speakers in the console, they will sync with Bluetooth headphones. So you can keep your noise to a minimum.
You might also consider gettting a thick equipment mat as well, to cut down on the noise even further that might go through the floor.
It can be hard these days to find a folding elliptical that is stable and sturdy. (Most folding models these days are pretty flimsy with plastic frames and short strides).
But the Nordictrack Spacesave SE9i is extra sturdy with solid steel construction, oversized levelers and a 200-pound machine weight. So it’s heavy enough to weight the machine and feel stable. But you can still fold it up and use the wheels to move it around.
The SE9i elliptical also gives you a large, 14-inch, HD, touch-screen console where you can connect with iFit and run trails all over the world or take fitness classes from your home. It also comes with 24 resistance levels and up to 10% incline for added challenge.
The only downside?
The footprint of this machine, when in use, is a bit long. It stretches to be about 80 inches by 32 inches – which is longer than our next pick below.
But if you have the space to fit it – and you want to be able to move it out of the way when not in use, this is a great choice for your condo or apartment.

#2 Nordictrack Commercial 9.9 Elliptical
This is Nordictrack’s most affordable front-drive trainer. Front drive trainers have the flywheel in front of the pedals instead of behind the pedals (like you see with the Spacesaver SE9 above).

The benefit to this one? It has a smaller footprint than the SE9i above
While the SE9i measures 80 x 32 inches, the Nordictrack 9.9 measures 68.25 inches x 28.75 inches. So it’s smaller than the SE9i model above.
The catch?
It doesn’t fold up.
But it does come with wheels on the bottom – so you can move it around. You just can’t fold it up and stick it in a closet or corner of the room.
It also comes with silent magnetic resistance and a Bluetooth-compatible sound system as well, to cut down on noise.

Like the Spacesaver SE9i above, it comes with the full-color, HD, touch-screen with iFit world trails and even live streaming workouts to your home.
The downside is that the screen on this elliptical is smaller than the Spacesaver SE9i – 7 inches vs 14 inches.
However you do get a higher incline – 20 vs 10 percent. So you have a bit more room to challenge yourself with higher incline on the Nordictrack 9.9 elliptical.

Overall, this one would be a great choice if you need a smaller machine when in use.
The Spacesaver SE9i above would be a better option if you have the space to use it – but you want something that’s easy to fold up and move out of the way when you’re done.

So if you’re looking for the best Nordictrack elliptical for apartment or condos, those are 2 great options.
Regardless of what you choose to do, remember to measure out your area before you buy and give about a half a foot to a foot on either side, plus the front and back. That way, you can be sure you’ll have enough space to maneouver around the trainer.
Plus a thick equipment mat underneath your trainer is also very handy to help dampen any noise – and make your neighbours happy as well.
